Two contrasting etudes or solos or movements from a concerto or sonata which best demonstrate your technique and musicality.
Fellows only: Beethoven Symphony No 3, 4th movement, Measures 431 to the end (Presto).
Brass
Horn, Trumpet, Trombone and Tuba
Two contrasting etudes or solos (or movements from a concerto or sonata) which best demonstrate your tone, range, technique, and lyric ability.
Fellows only: Horn: Tchaikovsky #5 solo, Trumpet: Respighi - Pines of Rome; offstage solo, Trombone: Mozart, "Tuba Mirum" from Requiem and Tuba: Bach-Bixby, "Bach for Tuba"
Percussion
Snare
Demonstrate roll in various dynamics (pp crescendo to FF and decrescendo to pp)
Perform an etude and/or a rudimental solo.
Fellows: by invitation only
Mallets
Perform both: a 2 and 4 mallet solo either on the marimba, vibraphone or xylophone (free choice of instrument for each of the two solos).
